Our story

The Conan family, a tradition of hospitality and "good food" in Paimpol

In the Conan family, I ask first for the great-uncle, Guy. Coming from a family of farmers in Paimpol, Guy Conan (foundly known as Tonton Guy) has a knack for business, a taste for sharing and for "good food". So, in the 80s, he first opened a creperie (L'Escale) then a restaurant-hotel (L'Islandais and its Bistro). And last he transformed an old shipowner's villa on the quays of Paimpol into a charming hotel : the K'Loys (in Breton, Ker Loys means the house of Louis).

He made his "Maisons de Louis" prosper for several decades. In 2012, he handed over the reins to his nephew Jean-Marc who, in turn, expanded and developed the family business by adding an ice cream shop-tea room: Chez Adam.

In 2022, it was the turn of Nicolas Conan (Jean-Marc's eldest son) and his partner Anna Delmas to add a new address to Les Maisons de Louis. By taking over the former Eurotel Le Grand Bleu, at the entrance to Paimpol, they reinvested what was formerly part of the Conan family farm. The circle is complete with Les Hauts de Kerano!

"Les Hauts de Kerano": inspiration for innovation

Anna and Nicolas follow in the footsteps of a family of restaurateurs rooted in their land, but with a project with a unique and singular identity.

For nearly 10 years, they trained (together) with great chefs in France (from Paris to the Périgord) and in Switzerland. What has always driven them is the desire to learn, to grow by feeding on the specificities of each house: starred cuisine, cuisine from elsewhere, and the service requirement of the greatest houses.

The fruit of their experience (and of their union) has slowly matured into a name and an address: Les Hauts de Kerano. They welcome you, not for a demonstration of style but for a demonstration of affection.
